Now historically, songs about how God has transformed your life usually only gets aired via Stars on Sunday, monday morning assembly or when it's baby Jesus time.

They are also usually pretty bland and un-imaginative and rarely bear any semblance to popular modern music structure, with throwaway tunes and constant banging on about their saviour.

Philippa Hanna is a little bit more off centre. Though she celebrates her evangelism theses songs ain't kicking you hard with religion and had I not already mentioned the Christian aspect, on hearing these tunes you'd accept them as a body of work that would give Alanis and co a good run and not feel you'd been brow beaten onto your prayer stool. There's a lot of groove coated bluesy pop here, a little countryfied with vocals sweeter than Pooh Bear's whiskers after a night in the honey jar. If you like your tunes mellow with a slight kick of dynamite this is the album for you.
